Scholars in Birmingham City Schools return to class on Aug. 5, 2024, and the district is offering several opportunities to get students from Pre-k to 12th grade ready for the first day. On Friday, July 12, the district will have a registration center set up in Linn Park during BHM Community Health Day. Also, the district has extended hours at the Registration Parent Support Center at the Lincoln Professional Development Center to provide assistance throughout the week and on Saturdays.
The center at Lincoln, located at 901 9th Avenue North, is open Monday-Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. On Friday the center’s operation hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“We want all students to pre-register for the next school year to ensure that everything is ready for them on the first day at all of our schools,” said Superintendent Dr. Mark Sullivan. “We are looking forward to a great year for 2024-25. Registration gets us ready for day one.”
