Bullying Prevention Program
How Does It Work?
Students are assigned to a two- to three-day anti-bullying program.
The student must attend a documented mandatory four hours of training.
Parents must attend the initial two-hour training class with their child.
The program provides helpful resources to stop bullying.
Objectives?
Heighten awareness about bullying
Teach skills to intervene
Provide Knowledge about the effects of bullying
Distinguish what schools, parents and the community can do
Recognize the warning signs
Become a positive role model in the school and community
Improve behavior and create a school environment free from harassment, violence, threats of violence or intimidation
