My name is Contanika M. Johnson. I currently serve as the Curriculum Specialist here at Jones Valley Middle School. My role is to improve student achievement by building teachers' capacity and understanding of instructional practices. I will support the instructional development of all teachers by focusing on improving instructional quality across all curriculum areas (including P.E., Unified Arts, & Special Education Dept.). I have a B.S. in Business Management Science from Tuskegee University and a Masters of Education from Alabama State University. I hope that my contribution in education would be enriching students and making them productive citizens in our society. Lastly, I believe that my greatest accomplishment is the connections and memories that I make with students. When I hear a student say “I finally got it Ms. Johnson”, or “Ms. Johnson, I never was taught this way”, I know I have fulfilled my purpose as an educator!
