Tuggle Elementary was founded as the Tuggle Institute by Carrie A. Tuggle on September 3,1903. The school is located at 412 12th Court North, Birmingham, AL.

In honor of Carrie A. Tuggle, the Birmingham Board of Education renamed the school Tuggle Elementary in 1936. Today, Tuggle Elementary is filled with experienced and exhilarating faculty and staff that serve approximately 500 students in grades K-5.
