Dr. Nichole D. Williams is the wife of Freddie Williams, Jr and the Mother of Freddie Williams the 3rd also known as “Tre.”

She started her secondary education at P.D. Jackson-Olin High School in 1989 as an eager freshman in the AP honors cohort. She spent her four years working hard on assignments and projects, playing basketball, running track and cheering on the Mighty Mustangs Cheerleading Squad.  She continued with her family tradition as an active member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church for over 20 years where she served as a greeter and an usher.  As a student and an athlete, Nichole had the best of both worlds.  With multiple responsibilities, this experience helped her to land the position of Business Manager of her 1993 Senior Class.  Nichole moved on to UAB where she earned a track scholarship and became a member of the first and finest sorority –Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.   While in college, she volunteered for many organizations including Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Birmingham where she was named Big Sister of the Year for the City of Birmingham as well as the State of Alabama. She went on to be named Who’s Who among America’s College Athletes as well as Master’s Student of the Year for the UAB Education Department.  After graduating from UAB with her Bachelor's degree, she began her teaching career as a middle school math teacher.  She spent 6 years as a Mathematics and Reading Teacher, 6 years as a curriculum coach and 10 years as an administrator (8 as principal). During her teaching years, she coached varsity basketball, volleyball, track and field, and cheerleading.  She also tutored High School Students for the ACT.  This year marks her 20th year in education with Birmingham City Schools.

Nichole became a member of the Magic City (AL) Chapter of the Links Inc. in 2015 where she serves as an officer.  She also serves as an officer in the Omicron Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha.

After studying abroad in Italy, she served as an adjunct professor at UAB. Also, at the collegiate level, she serves as a member of the Miles College Student's Advisory Committee where she assists with giving feedback to students as they facilitate their end of year presentations. Dr. Williams is adamant about recruiting teachers from HBCUs.  She believes in giving back to her community.  As a result, she started the first annual in-school Jackson-Olin Athletic Scholarship in 2018 by sponsoring two members of the Mustang Track Team as she paid for their spirit packages.  The 2019 scholarship will go to two students playing Fall sports.  Dr. Williams lives by her own motto which is
