This past weekend, Carver students Jersey Smith, Cayla Tarbert, and Ja’Kayla Evans, along with several of their Ramsay High School peers, attended and performed at the University of North Alabama’s Honors Orchestra. They had a blast and did an amazing job! Shout out to our orchestra teacher, Mrs. Cochran, who also had the honor of playing alongside the Shoals Symphony. We are so proud of you, Rams! #ExcellenceistheStandard #ExcellenceintheArts

Today marks a week since our Rams, Aaliyah and Amarius, have been experiencing Japan through the International Dual Enrollment Academy, a collaboration between Birmingham Sister Cities and Miles College. They are having a blast and learning so much! From meeting the mayor of Maebashi, visiting local schools, touring historical sites, and enjoying new cuisine, Aaliyah reports that everyone they meet is incredibly kind. We’re so proud of you, Aaliyah and Amarius! #RamsinJapan #CulturalAmbassadors #ExcellenceistheStandard

On Tuesday, October 1st, our orchestra students had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Suren Petrosyan and Dr. Amanda Wilton from the University of North Alabama’s string department! They treated the students to a wonderful performance, shared valuable information about scholarship opportunities, and offered guidance on music the students have been working on. Thank you, Dr. Petrosyan and Dr. Wilton, for an inspiring and educational visit!
