Charles A. Brown Elementary IB World School is an elementary school in the Birmingham City School system located at the intersection of Court J and 48th street Ensley in the Belview Heights community of Five Point West community. 

Dr. Janice S.Drake is our school leader as of June 2020.

The school is named after a previous teacher and associate superintendent Charles A. Brown. The school building was first constructed in 1951.  In 2002 an expansion of our school was completed.

A new Charles A. Brown Elementary School was constructed in its place in 2012. The school received International Baccalaureate status in December of 2017.

Today, Charles A. Brown IB World School is progressing and continuing on the path of IB status as we are preparing our students to be lifelong learners in a global society.
