At Avondale Elementary School we believe all academics center around Reading and Math Literacy.  For that reason, we offer 90 minutes a day of both reading and math.  Writing is infused across all content areas and the process of writing is taught during Literacy time.  Students receive daily doses of Science and Social Studies infused with their Reading time.  We offer a variety of specials classes, 30 minutes each per day.  Our specials classes this year are Diversified Arts, Physical Education, Music and Library, and STEAM.
